Eric Butcher is a professor of the University of Arizona who is set to teach students of Sampoerna University in the Two-Degree Mechanical Engineering Program in Spring 2020.
Prof. Butcher is scheduled to be co-lecturing “Mechanical Vibration” course with Dr. Ignatius Budi Sutanto H.S. (Mechanical Engineering Lecturer) who holds a Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin.
He spoke before the students taking the Mechanical Engineering Study Program about a number of topics that needed discussion before the lecture begins shortly this spring.
“This visit also serves as an in-person brief for students. For the rest of the semester, they will be learning with the professor virtually,” stated Farid Triawan, Ph.D. (Head of Mechanical Engineering at Sampoerna University).
Prof. Butcher is currently serving as professor of Aerospace-Mechanical Engineering, associate professor of Applied Mathematics, and professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona.
He has been working as professor at the University of Arizona since 2014. Previously, Prof. Butcher also worked at New Mexico State University, University of Alaska Fairbanks and Sandia National Laboratory.
In the fall of 2018, Prof. Butcher received the University of Arizona Academic Leadership Fellow Award. He has also won AFRL Summer Faculty Fellowship for three times and Best Paper Award at the 12th International Conference on Multibody Systems, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Control, in the fall of 2016.
If you are interested in Engineering and really want to be one like Eric Butcher in the future, be closer to your dream by enrolling in Sampoerna University’s Mechanical Engineering Study Program. In the Two-Degree Program, you will graduate with two bachelor’s degrees from Sampoerna University and the University of Arizona in Tucson, Texas.
