Sampoerna University features a U.S.-style curriculum with English as the medium of instruction. During the first two years, students complete the Core Curriculum of interdisciplinary classes and essential prerequisites to build competencies in their chosen major. This blend of foundational and specialized courses is recognized internationally, preparing graduates to advance in their studies and careers on a global scale.

What is the Core Curriculum?

Core courses provide Sampoerna University students with an interdisciplinary education framework based on the standard U.S. higher education curriculum and guided by Indonesian educational conventions. Subject areas include Communications, Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics.

Core Competencies

Sampoerna University targets six college level competencies, based on the VALUE rubrics developed by the Association of American Colleges & Universities that form the foundation of the Curriculum & Methodology and core courses.
