The achievements of Sampoerna University students in 2023 are a testament to the commitment to excellence instilled in them. Among the notable achievements are those of Maya Anggun Beer, Nicholas Karel Subagyo, Excel Kumala, Oryzea Sativa Ilham, Emilia Loho, Amanda Georgina Singgih, Ady Syamsuri, Dhiannisa Wahyu Putri, Noorfi Azizah Rahim, Az Zahra Azizah Hanum, and Aulia Henock Pandu Putra.
Maya Anggun Beer, a Computer Science student (CS 2021), demonstrated extraordinary talent in artistic swimming at the 5th Indonesia Open Aquatic Championship 2023. Winning 1st place for Team Free Routine, Technical Routine, and Acrobatic Routine, as well as securing 2nd place for Duet Technical and Free Routine, she showcased exceptional skills in a highly competitive field.
Nicholas Karel Subagyo, an Industrial Engineering student (IE 2021), proved his versatility in swimming at the same championship, earning 1st place in Men’s 200m, 400m, and 800m Freestyle. His prowess extended to 3rd place in Men’s 100m & 1500m Freestyle and 400m Medley, reflecting his dominance across multiple swimming disciplines.
Five outstanding students – Excel Kumala (IE 2023), Oryzea Sativa Ilham (IS 2021), Emilia Loho (CS 2022), Amanda Georgina Singgih (IS 2022), and Ady Syamsuri (CS 2022) – were recognized as Conference Awardees at the ASEAN Golden Conference: Synergy for the World. Their innovative essays on topics ranging from green economics to climate change were chosen out of 185 participants representing 32 universities across Indonesia.
Dhiannisa Wahyu Putri, an Accounting alumna (ACC 2019), emerged as the top scorer in the Southeast Asia August 2023 Operational Case Study Exam, showcasing her exceptional critical thinking and proficiency in technical accounting and finance skills.
Noorfi Azizah Rahim (IS 2021) and Az Zahra Azizah Hanum (IE 2021) authored a paper titled “Artificial Intelligence Tools in Higher Education Students’ Usage Analysis,” accepted for publication in Jurnal Teknologi. The research, conducted in collaboration with Pak Wandy and Pak Agni, emphasized the significance of AI in supporting academic needs.
Aulia Henock Pandu Putra (IE 2021) made significant contributions to the field of sustainable energy and technological innovation at the International Conference on Engineering Science, Innovation Technology, and Sustainability (ICESIT 2023). His paper, “Supplier Selection using Analytic Hierarchy Approach: A Case Study in Retail Toy Company,” is set to be published in the IOP Conference Series, indexed by Scopus.
